A spookily decked-out Gymnasium and Teen Lounge played host to a frightfully fun day of face-painting, scary stories, creepy crafts and more, as legions of costumed Members and staff celebrated this ghoulish holiday in style.

TAC Premier Classic Squash Tournament 2011
On June 24 through 26, the Club's three squash courts played host to almost 170 top squash players, as well as 14 Members, at its second annual TAC Premier Classic.

Shinnosuke Tsukue beat Yuuta Fukui in the final of the men's open competition, while Chinatsu Matsui edged out Kozue Onizawa to take the women's crown. Elsewhere, Russell Burns triumphed over fellow Club Member Tim Ely in the men's friendship tournament and Yoko Koshibuchi defeated Mika Ishizawa in the women's. Member Colin Bell, meanwhile, won the junior competition.

Mother's Day at the Club 2011
The New York Ballroom hosted a day of fine food and Champagne as moms enjoyed time with their appreciative families at the first Mother’s Day Buffet in the new Club.

Jammin' for Japan 2011
As part of its fundraising efforts for the disaster-hit Tohoku region, the Club hosted a vibrant night of live music and bidding. More than 230 partygoers enjoyed an exquisite dinner and performances from a number of artists, including Speech from American hip-hop act Arrested Development and opera singer John Ken Nuzzo. More than 350 golf enthusiasts and fans of rising star Ryo Ishikawa congregated in the New York Ballroom to see the 19-year-old, recording-breaking player receive the Club’s prestigious Sportsman of the Year award and answer questions about his career and life. Previous recipients of the award include baseball’s Ichiro Suzuki and swimmer Kousuke Kitajima. Turn to page 34 to find out Ishikawa’s thoughts on his golfing success and future in the sport.
