Youth Swimming
Young swimmers can enjoy an array of fun, invigorating Pool activities under the safe supervision of an experienced instructor.Programs are offered for every age and swimming ability.

Private Lessons
Swimmers of all levels can take advantage of dedicated pool time with an expert coach to learn the basics, strengthen a weak point or focus on a specific technique. Semi-private lessons are offered for up to 3 students.

- Private lessons are divided into four sessions: spring, summer, fall and winter. Registration is required for each session. Lessons run through the end date of each session.
- The Pool Office does not automatically transfer bookings from session to session. Re-enrollment is required to be submitted on the designated registration day of each session to continue the lessons.
- Priority will be given according to swimmers’ start dates. In the case of the same start date, priority will be given according to the time of registration.
- The Pool Office will schedule lessons as close as possible to requested dates and times.
- Sessions will not be confirmed unless registering Members respond to the confirmation letter within 7 business days.
- Members can book sessions in person 5 days prior to the requested lesson time. Please read the cancellation policy for in-person bookings.

- Swimmers can participate in the first lesson before deciding whether or not to continue. Cancellation must be made by 10 pm on the first day of lessons to avoid a penalty fee. Participants who cancel by the deadline will be billed for one lesson and the remainder of the course fee will be refunded.
- Cancellation made after 10 pm on the first day of lessons will incur a charge of the full course fee.
- Cancellation due to illness requires a doctor’s note to receive a refund of class fees.
- For in-person bookings, cancellations received less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time will incur a full charge of the lesson fee. Same-day appointments are subject to the same cancellation penalties.

- There is no system for make-up lessons. Inquire at the Pool Office for available spaces.

Kids' Group Swim (Spring/Fall)

Crocodile Stroke Readiness
This fun, safe program is for kids who already have water confidence and just need the know-how to start forming their strokes. The instructor teacher basic water safety and the fundamentals of the front crawl and backstroke.
Aim: To swim 5 meters with proper arm/leg coordination

This water exploration program is for kids with little or no previous swimming experience, teaching basic water safety skills, confidence in the pool and stroke readiness through unique games and techniques.

Mudsharks
Aquatic enthusiastics can join the Mudsharks swim team for an exciting season of training and competition. Participants will work with the coach to develop stroke form, endurance and other skills. Practice sessions for spring and fall season are divided into 4 groups by skill level.New swimmers to the Mudsharks must go through a tryout. Recorded times from a swimmer's previous meets are helpful in identifying the proper level for newcomers.

Mini Muddies
Swimmers must be over 5 years old and be able to swim 25m freestyle with lateral breathing, 25m backstroke and have some breaststroke and butterfly ability. Mini Muddies practices will focus on kick work to improve body position and drills to develop natural ability while emphasizing the swimmers body position and drill work to develop natural ability with correct technique. All Mini Muddies are part of the Mudsharks Swim Team and encouraged to participate in all swim meets and events.

Junior
Emphasis is on stroke correction and development. Short distances are used in most drills. Participants should have properly formed strokes in freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly for distances of 50m. Swimming sessions will be broken down weekly to prepare the swimmers for junior level competition. Participants are expected to attend no less than 15 sessions per season.

Intermediate
Emphasis is on advanced drills, stamina training over longer distances and improvement of technique. Swimmers should be capable of swimming 100 meters of all strokes with proper technique. The season training schedule will focus on the same core ideas with different work outs. These practices will gradually increase in distance and incorporate reduced time cycles. More attention is paid to turns and detailed competition swimming techniques. Participants are expected to attend no less than 22 sessions.

Senior
This level is aimed at children who have chosen swimming as their main athletic pursuit and require a high degree of commitment. Ideally swimmers should attend 4 sessions a week, but considering school work loads, a minimum of three sessions per week are required to achieve effective results from the training program. Swimmers must have all four strokes, turns and the individual medley properly formed and comfortable swimming distances of up to 400 meters. Senior swimmers should aim to perfect these strokes for competition.

Swimmer Requirements
• All swimmers must wear goggles
• Female swimmers are required to wear a swimming cap
• Number of participants in each group is strictly controlled to ensure maximum safety and a proper learning environment
• Once the available spaces in each group are filled, other registrants will be placed on the waiting list
• Participation in the program requires children to attend a minimum number of sessions to remain in good standing
• Participants will be required to follow instructions and conduct themselves responsibly at all times at the Club or while participating in off-site events
• Swimmers training in the Pool with the Mudsharks should participate in swim meets, for the Mudsharks
• Failure to abide by these standards may be grounds for removal from the program; registration fees will not be refunded.
Children not quite ready for the Mini Muddies can contact the Pool Office to join one of many other programs on offer and gear up for next season.
