Early Literacy Skills Program for Parents
In this workshop led by a reading specialist with over 35 years of experience in education, parents will learn a variety of current techniques and activities to encourage pre-reading and reading skills in their children. The program is aimed at helping children get the most out of reading instruction at school and beyond.Instructor and Library Committee member Julie Ennis will share her "reading toolbox" to encourage emerging skills in early readers and will proffer tips to parents on how to read aloud effectively. The educational program will conclude with a question-and-answer session.
