Women's Group Fall 2011 Classes

The Women's Group offers a wide range of dynamic, enriching classes and courses on a variety of subjects, from Japanese culture and language to cooking and painting. Class registration is open to all Club Members 18 and over (not just Women's Group members), both men and women.

To register, potential students must have their Membership cards and Women's Group members should have a current (2011-12) sticker. Non-Women's Group members will be charged an additional ¥3,500 per class.

Students who register online will receive a confirmation e-mail from the Women's Group Office. If you do not receive one, please contact the Women's Group Office.

  • Cancellation deadlines are included with the class details below.
  • Students will not be reimbursed for cancellations made after these dates.
  • All cancellations must be made in person at the Member Services Desk or Women's Group Office or in writing via email.
  • Telephone, fax or postal cancellations are not accepted.

Blue and White Kimono Quilting

In this 6-session quilting class with a Japanese twist, students handcraft a lap- or baby-sized quilt from blue and white summer kimono (yukata) fabric. A collector of Japanese material for more than 20 years, instructor Dianne Conroy calls this take on a traditional pastime "a celebration of Japanese fabric."

Tsuribina Mobile Making
